Whitecap Windsurfing has offered professional instruction and equipment since 1999. Yeah, 21 years!! I, Chuck Hardin, owner of this one-man operation based in Augusta, GA, being known as the Sultan of Stoke. From Florida to Tennessee, from the Carolinas to Alabama, windsurfing is my mission.

While my shop has never been brick-and-mortar, I've sold well over $1,000,000 in equipment through the years – all one piece at a time, hands-on, person-to-person. Yeah, old school in this day and age, but that's how I roll.
I teach lessons.
My primary lesson location is a beautiful spot on Clarks Hill Lake, the largest man-made reservoir lake east of the Mississippi near Augusta, GA. (aka, Lake Thurmond). It's a first-day, beginner lesson, but it's so thorough and effective, you'll be good to go up all the way up to the intermediate phase of the learning curve.*

at least I hope I do. Windsurfing, like wave surfing, is more than just an activity or a sport. It's a celebration. It delivers The Glide. It's one of the Exalted Sports. It's an experience, not about achievement. Come to a lesson, I can explain.

Whitecap is a certified school through the US Sailing Windsurfing Instruction Program. It offers beginner lessons in individual and small clinic settings mainly at Clark Hill near Augusta and occasional group clinics at other lakes such as Lanier (Atlanta area) and Lake Murray (Columbia, SC). Whitecap also offers new and used equipment from the world's best known and respected manufacturers such as Starboard, Exocet, hFanatic, BIC, North, Severne, Aerotech, Epic Gear, Da Kine, and much more. The big pieces, I order as needed for each customer, hand-deliver it and rig.
